Round 2 of the Mid Ulster Cup is now confirmed, and Valley Rangers will be the sole remaining MUFL club progressing to the next stage after a dramatic victory over Newry City AFC, winning the tie on penalties.
A special mention goes to Daniel Graham, just 16 years old, who delivered a standout moment for Valley Rangers. With the game into stoppage time, Daniel stepped up and scored a crucial goal three minutes into added time, keeping his club’s hopes alive and forcing the match to penalties.
A huge effort from the squad, and a proud moment for both Daniel and Valley Rangers as they carry the league’s representation into Round 2, where they will travel to face Glenavon at Mourneview Park in October.
