Another challenging weekend for clubs across the Mid Ulster Football League as heavy rainfall once again caused widespread disruption, with postponements dominating much of the fixture list. However, the matches that did beat the weather provided plenty of goals, drama and important results at both ends of the table.
Intermediate A
League leaders Banbridge Rangers continued their impressive start to the season with a narrow but significant 1-0 victory over fellow league contenders Richhill AFC. The win strengthens Rangers’ position at the summit as they continue to set the pace in the division.
The day’s highest-scoring encounter came at Lurgan Town Arena where Lurgan Town defeated Fivemiletown United 6-2. Despite sitting in mid-table, Lurgan Town showed their attacking quality with an emphatic display.
Valley Rangers strengthened their hold on a top-three position with a convincing 4-1 victory over Lower Maze, while Moneyslane edged past Laurelvale 1-0 in a tightly contested encounter. At Madden Road, Tandragee Rovers produced one of their best results of the season, overcoming Crewe United 4-3 in a seven-goal thriller.
Intermediate B
Only two fixtures survived the weather in Intermediate B.
Bessbrook United, who started the day third in the table, continued their excellent campaign with a commanding 3-0 victory over Ambassadors, keeping the pressure on division leaders Tullyvallen and second-placed Hanover.
Meanwhile, Dromore Amateurs and Lurgan Celtic shared the points following an entertaining 2-2 draw at Nelson Park.
Division 2
Current league leaders Donaghmore underlined their title credentials with a dominant 6-0 victory over Scarva Rangers at Drumcoo 3G. The result maintains their perfect league record and further enhances their position at the top of the table.
Division 3
The only fixture to survive in Division 3 saw Moira Albion claim an important 2-1 away victory over Castlecaulfield, taking maximum points from a difficult trip.
Reserve Championship
Two matches went ahead in the Reserve Championship, with Seapatrick Reserves maintaining their strong form through a 3-0 away win against Oxford Sunnyside U23. Lurgan Town U23 also picked up an impressive away result, defeating Seagoe Reserves 4-2.
Reserve Division 1
Valley Rangers Swifts secured a valuable three points with a 2-1 victory away to Ambassadors Reserves, while Hill Street Reserves edged a closely fought contest against Portadown BBOB Reserves, winning 3-2.
Reserve Division 3
Gilford Crusaders Reserves continued their positive campaign with a 3-1 success over Broomhedge Maghaberry Reserves, while Hillsborough Boys Reserves produced an excellent away performance to defeat Tandragee Rovers III 3-0.

Laurelvale Reserves 0-4 Moneyslane Reserves
Richhill AFC Reserves 2-1 Dromore Amateurs Reserves
Banbridge Town Reserves 1-3 St Mary’s YC Reserves
